So the last time I blogged was Sunday morning and a lot has happened since then...
We woke up early and went to the Picasso museum, which had a lot of his earlier work, and a bunch from later in his life...it was cool but I wish I knew more about his work
After that, we went to see the Segrada Familia cathedral by Gaudi, which has been being built since the end of the 1800s and won't be done till 2026...pictures are below, it looks like a giant sand castle...google it
Tc met up with us there, and we went to the Parc Guel, which was also designed by Gaudi....we had to walk uphill for an hour to get there...it was cool, but not cool enough for all that walking
We had a very touristy day.
For dinner, we had 3 rounds of tapas, then got ready for the super bowl... We had reserved tickets AT the bar of this irish/american/british pub the day before, so when we got there, we had seats, beer, and wings waiting for us...we were there from 11 pm till 4 am our time...and then the steelers lost
We woke up yesterday, had breakfast, and walked around the city...did some shopping, went to the beach, and had an amazing 3 course lunch for 10 euros...we went to a supermarket and bought bread, goat cheese, spinach, and honey to make sandwiches for dinner
We got on the overnight train (whose seats resembled an airplane) and arrived in Grenada this morning. Dayne got really sick with the stomach bug so we got her to the hostel, and we just left to try and go see the Alhambra...its gorgeous, but its a very small town that reminds me of greece ...check out my pictures
I'm just gonna throw it out there right now that I know way less spanish than I thought
Hasta Lavista
Xoxo
